Thanking the donor

• You may wish to thank your kidney donor before and after your transplant. If you are unable to reach out directly due to privacy, you can ask your transplant team to do this on your behalf.
• If you received a deceased donor transplant, you may want to reach out to the donor’s family and thank them. Knowing their loved one’s passing had a positive impact on your life may help them in the grieving process.
